Ron is a passionate family business consultant dedicated to the preservation of multi-generation family businesses. He brings more than a quarter-century of organizational, management and family advisory experience to family and closely-held businesses of all sizes and types of industries. As an experienced business advisor, senior executive working in family business, graduate level university professor of business and psychology, Ron understands how to relate his many experiences and skills to any business team.

He has the ability to help business owners clarify their preferred vision of the future while working through the challenges and complexities of the current family business. Ron can quickly use his superior listening skills and questioning techniques to identify, clarify root causes of problems and facilitate solutions that get to immediate results.

Dr. Dohr is nationally recognized in the field of family businesses, and he advises business owner clients on a wide range of topics including succession planning, business and family governance, family dynamics, business and family transition, and building family legacy.

Ron is co-founder of Northwest Family Business Advisors in Seattle, Washington and also serves on the Board of the Pierce County Center for Dispute Resolution as Vice President.
